David Hamilton was born and raised just outside the city limits of LaFayette, GA. He graduated from LaFayette High, and went on to graduate from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He participated in the cooperative education program at Roper Corporation during his college years, prior to joining General Electric. David began in Quality Engineering and Process Engineering roles in Decatur, AL ; Bridgeville, PA, and Cleveland, OH with GE. He then moved into Materials and Quality Management in Bridgeville Glass Plant, Operations Manager at the Carolina Metals Plant in Goldsboro, NC, and Operations Manager in the Circleville Lamp Plant in Circleville, OH. David left GE to work at Rexnord Industries in Auburn, AL where he was most recently a plant manager. David returned home in June 2014 to serve as LaFayette City Manager. David and his wife Rebecca reside in LaFayette and have 3 sons.

City Clerk
Brenda Snyder has been with the City since 1991. She started as a Secretary in the Gas Department and then moved to the Gas and Codes Department. In 2005 she advanced to City Hall and became the tax and business license clerk. In 2008 Brenda was appointed as City Clerk by the Mayor and City Council. Brenda is married to Clifford Snyder and they have four children.

City Attorney
Ronald R. Womack earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree as an Honor Student at the University of Georgia in 1971 where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Delta Phi. In 1974, he graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law, was admitted to the Georgia Bar and began his general practice of law in northwest Georgia. Womack has served as Board Attorney for the Walker County Board of Education since 1974 and as City Attorney for the City of Trenton since 1976. He was named Assistant City Attorney for the City of LaFayette in 1979 and has served as City Attorney for LaFayette since 1990. He also has served the State of Georgia as a Special Assistant Attorney General since 1982. Womack has maintained the highest possible AV Rating for legal ability and ethical standards with Martindale-Hubbell for over thirty years, was named to The Top Lawyers of Georgia for excellence and achievement by the legal community, was recognized as one of Georgia’s Top 100 Lawyers in the National Law Journal and has been accepted by the Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He is a member of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia.
City Judge
Kenneth S. Maples has served as Municipal Court Judge since being elected to office in 2010. Judge Maples was born and raised in LaFayette, and is the son of the late Ralph and Evelyn Maples. He has been married for fifty years to Doris Brown Maples and they have three children: Angela, Ken Jr. (wife, Angie and daughter, Ella), and Phil (wife, Emily). He is a lifelong resident of LaFayette and graduated from LaFayette High School. He established Kenneth Maples & Sons Construction Company in 1996 which specialized in new home construction, re-modeling and home editions. Prior to starting his own business, he worked for twenty-seven years in the carpet industry. He has held positions as Plant Manager, head of Research and Product Development, Director of Sales and Marketing and was Vice President of Operations before leaving the industry. He was instrumental in the start-up of new businesses in Dalton, Calhoun, Chatsworth and Jacksonville Florida.
