The LaFayette Airport offers pilots and sky travelers a relaxed, top-notch experience when they visit the Queen City of the Highlands.
Our terminal offers an efficient facility for pilots of all lifestyles who fly in to our friendly city.
The LaFayette Airport is built with the local and traveling corporate pilots in mind. Our pilot lounge is designed to bring comfort to pilots as they make their stop in LaFayette.
The pilots lounge offers comfortable recliners and a large flat screen television where pilots can be in a private and relaxed atmosphere as they take a break from the skies. We offer a modern flight planning room, break room and restrooms with showers. You are not going to have to worry about being in an overcrowded airport as we offer an intimate, laid back atmosphere at our terminal.
T Hangers are available along with larger corporate hangers. The airport has an A&P/IA on the field as well as an engine and hydraulic hose facility. Flight training is available at the airport from private pilot all the way up to twin IFR ratings.
LaFayette Golf Course
If golf is your game then you are in luck. The City of LaFayette Golf Course is located right next to the airport. The par 72 course features bent grass greens and hybrid Bermuda grass fairways and rough. Four sets of tees allow players of all abilities to enjoy its wonderful layout. There are many challenging holes to test player’s skill as they play one of North Georgia’s most beautiful courses. It’s basically two courses in one. Our Golf Clubhouse has one of the best burgers in town and plenty of cold beverages to enjoy. You’ll be surrounded by the beautiful North Georgia Mountains and tucked away from the interstate as you Escape into the Serenity of the Game!

Visit some of our other attractions like Queen City Lake, Crockford Pigeon Mountain and the Historic Marsh House. You can also visit our nearby attractions like Rock City (located 30 minutes away in Lookout Mountain), Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, and the very breath taking Cloudland Canyon State Park.
The LaFayette Airport has an annual Fly-In each fall to benefit The Walker County Stocking Full of Love charity, which provides a special Christmas to needy area children. You’ll see all kinds of aircraft from antiques to modern planes, parachuters, an antique car cruise-in and plenty of great food.
If you’re visiting in early June, come out to the annual Honeybee Festival. The Honeybee Festival is where you can experience a free day of great music, food and education about the importance of the Honeybee. The Honeybee Festival is headlined by musical performances from today’s top stars.
